Working with a number of different industry bodies, and in partnership with other leading firms, we’ve made a great contribution to establishing and evolving the regulatory environment in New Zealand. It’s work we love doing, because we know that great quality standards are vital in an industry with so much resting on the work we do.
It takes great local and technical knowledge to work with policies and standards – the sort of knowledge you only build up with decades in the game. We’ve been in New Zealand for the best part of 60 years, so we’re ideally placed to make a valuable contribution to code, reviews, revisions and new areas of code. We’re regularly part of code committees, helping ensure policies and standards are fit for purpose in an ever-changing engineering and construction environment. There’s nothing more important to us that the quality our industry delivers, so it’s work we take great pride in delivering.
In the immediate aftermath of the Christchurch Earthquakes, we took a strong role in exploring standards and working towards improving them for the future. We’re still on the case today, helping identify and take action on areas for improvement.
