Bridge launch

An exciting – and slightly nerve-wracking – bridge launch. Here’s the Perry Cycle Bridge (Horotiu) setting off on its 130 metre journey across the mighty Waikato.  A vital link in the Te Awa Great NZ River Ride, and a brilliant project to be part of.

New cycle bridge – Horitiu

bridging-2We’ve played a part in this exciting suspension bridge project, which will allow cyclists to cross the mighty Waikato. This bridge is part of the Te Awa Great New Zealand River ride – and one of the country’s most celebrated cyclists can’t wait to give it a go. You can read more here.

Architect/Engineer collaboration

viaduct-revitWe were delighted to contribute to the recently published ‘Improving Collaboration Between Architects and Engineers’ paper.

Working alongside great people from both camps, and the industry bodies that guide architecture and engineering firms in NZ, Holmes Consulting Group helped set out some practical guidelines for better collaboration.

It’s an excellent (and brief!) paper that’s well worth reading – you can find a full copy on the IPENZ website.
