Trinity Hill Vineyard
1Set in beautiful Hawke’s Bay, Trinity Hill is a landmark vineyard and retail facility with an architectural image designed for maximum impact. This project came to life in conjunction with the planting of the vines, seeking to combine fine wines with a stunning facility purpose built to delight and entertain wine lovers, wedding guests and tourists.
2The expert engineers at Holmes Consulting were called in to help bring the architectural vision to life, balancing the need for a robust, resilient structure with creating a striking, memorable structure. The precast walls we designed were tall and slender, requiring an integral column to combine each panel. Our innovative panels created a clean, sophisticated look that also supported the facility’s need to adhere to strict hygiene standards as a working production operation.
3The building fits well into the rural landscape, creating an industrial feel that hints at the serious business of winemaking, without the showiness of some of its counterparts. It has achieved regional and national recognition for its bold architecture, and, set against the lush vines, it’s an arresting building that gives its many visitors pause for thought.
A wine tour’s a great idea if you’re in Hawke’s Bay, and Trinity Hill is a must see. Don’t forget to admire the precast concrete panels while you’re sampling the local vintage – the wine isn’t the only high quality product onsite.
