    Energy

Energy projects combine technical challenges and environmental considerations in equal measure, and almost always present an opportunity to explore new systems. We enjoy the challenges of NZ’s difficult terrain, and the chance to apply our structural knowledge alongside some of the leading innovators in energy creation. Whatever we’re designing, we always deliver Holmes Consulting’s trademark approach to quality—creating the most appropriate, efficient solutions.

We’re proud to be part of the new wave of energy generation, supporting our clients to design structures that minimise wastage, reduce construction times, and aim to use as little energy as possible in the making. For our part, we enjoy putting our minds to work on interesting structures like windfarms, where precision in the design stage will have a direct and measurable impact in the efficacy of the structure. Often, these energy projects are based in zones where environmental protection is paramount—putting an emphasis on ‘buildability’ and non-invasive construction techniques.

On great energy projects like Te Rere Hau windfarm, we bring some of the country’s best engineering thinking and experience.
