Civil Engineering

We’re proven experts in civil engineering, delivering intelligent infrastructure. Our civil design skills span the full civil spectrum, from straightforward drainage to the end-to-end management of large, complex developments. Our approach and success is based around the commitment and attention to detail that’s made Holmes Consulting a watchword for engineering quality for nearly six decades.

We’ve worked on projects of all shapes and sizes, in all types of terrain and conditions – creating efficient, effective civil designs that stand the test of time. We pride ourselves on our ability to explore new options, and break fresh ground in civil design when there’s the opportunity to save time and economise with inventive solutions.

We’ve designed things like access roads, sumps and slot drains, swales and rain gardens, detention ponds, and attenuation devices, setting levels to make sure water falls in the right direction. We’re also experts in pavement design, creating the robust platform properties need to stand the test of time. We’ve provided large scope civil engineering services to great projects like the Kawarau Falls Hotel, the Christchurch Town Hall, and the Lake’s Edge subdivision in Queenstown. We’re a passionate civils team with the knowledge and experience to deliver on a wide range of projects and challenges.
