Holmes Culley, our sister company in San Francisco, was on the winning team for the U.S. National Historic Landmark Presidio Buildings 101 & 103.
The innovative use of materials garnered a 2012 Preservation Design award from the California Preservation Foundation for its use of carbon fibre technology as well as the award for Craftsmanship & Technology.
The project has also won an Excellence award from the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) for Historic Preservation and from the Structural Engineers of California (SEAOC) – Excellence in Historic Preservation.
Geoff Sharp, who recently returned to Holmes Consulting Group after a long stint in San Francisco was a team member on the project.
Geoff notes “Holmes Culley have developed a niche when it comes to historically significant structures and have completed some very successful projects as a result. I’m proud to have been part of that team and am excited to share that expertise back home in New Zealand”
