Auckland Young Engineers Committee Application

If you’re a Young Engineer, part of Engineering NZ, and based in/around Auckland then Committee Applications are now being accepted and close on 30 August 2020.

Here’s a little more detail about the Committee and what they do:

Young Engineers Committee

The young engineers groups are represented and organised by a voluntary committee of representatives from across New Zealand. There are so many reasons why you should volunteer your time. As a committee member you’ll:

  • gain new skills, knowledge and networks
  • open yourself to new career prospects and opportunities
  • create a community of friends and peers
  • gain a greater understanding of the engineering profession

Young engineers committees are generally made up of a regional chair, a treasurer, a secretary and between 2–8 committee members. Regional chairs work with their committees to organise site visits, networking events and workshops, among other social activities. They also:

  • attend regional branch meetings
  • recruit new committee members
  • provide leadership to their young engineers groups

A full list of all the current Young Engineer Regional Chairs can be found here on Engineering NZ’s website:
